A Message From Me
So, Happy Thanksgiving and may those of us on the colder side of the planet spend this day warm and cozy with those who mean the most to us. And for those of you on the warmer side celebrating with us, take a dive in the pool for all of us who are freezing! LOL

Update
currently working on ya'lls surprise... though only one asked what it
was :P I'm freezing my rear end off here, and of course, the colder I
get, the hungrier I am, and that's not where I need to be right now.
But, I'm hopeful this winter doesn't last too long and look forward to
March 1, when all the holidays/birthdays/death-iversaries are done.
I'm tired of being sad and gloomy this time of year, but every holiday
jingle only brings back the emotions. They say grieving has no time
schedule, but isn't nearly 7 years enough? Or maybe the death in my
inner circle is slowing me down a bit... I'm tired of the tears,
depression, and just gloom. I want to feel happy again during the
holidays. I want to reclaim that... but no matter what I do, no matter
what I say, something always comes along to ruin it. I was doing so
well last year, turkey day and xmas went fine... but my birthday was
ruined and thus started the grieving all over again. Perhaps someday
the crying will be done, but I have the feeling that'll be the day
when either I'm the last one or it's my turn to go. *sigh* welcome to
my life. I'd love to go a decade without someone close to me dying,
but it ain't happened yet, and this decade is already turning worse
than the last two! But perhaps this means the rest is clear sailing? I
hope!!!!! Anyways, later ya'll.

Still Alive
still running for now, one form or another. I'm still not on much, as
I've got other things occupying my mind and time. But I still read my
email, though nowadays it's nothing except my daily comic strip,
boring news, etc with a touch of flavor when someone actually DOES
email me. I have a pressie eventually for my most beloved regular
readers... if ya beg and email me I might divulge what it is! I know,
evil, ain't I? LOL. Talk on the Flip!

freaky pc crap!
Well, dig this, now the bluetooth dies, but the cable works!!!!! WTF?
I told ya'll technology hates me! LOL
BTW, does someone please down south want to share some summer warmth?
BRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the Agenda
1. Read some ebooks... I have 498, you'd think I'd never be bored!
2. Come up with a better, more permanent solution to my cradle issue
for my pda. This toy rocking chair now missing it's rockers and arms
is kinda sad, my "cradle" is a chair! LOL. I've been working on this
for months now, don't expect miracles.
3. Organize my side of the bed. Not likely to happen either. Not with
little space and lots of stuff. Got a desk in mind, but need money and
muscles to build it. And someone to haul the wood home. And paint. Too
much work for me right now.
4. Relax. Too much is running through my head right now. Don't expect
much on this one either until I'm back online as that should be a sign
that things have calmed down!
5. Organize this clusterf**k I call a desk. Will need to do this
several times as it tends to be my dumping grounds.
6. Teach cats how to use toilet. HAHA. Better: teach cats how to NOT
scratch on closet door when using box, instead burying their "stuff".
7. Teach female cat (Jadzia) to NOT grab paws while I'm typing!!!!! LOL
8. Play with cats more. Been neglecting playing. Luckily they're
easily entertained LOL.
9. Learn how to make a proper ball of yarn. I learned once years ago,
but have forgotten.
10. Write, write, write.
11. Teach cats how to play with toys without bending them out of shape.
12. Be more sociable without appearing to be lonely, desparate, or
something else.
13. Catch up on sleep without sleeping in all day.
14. Organize/clean... everywhere.......... help!!!!!!!!
15. Keep in contact with people... figure out how to first...
I'll see ya'll on the flip side!
Offline
world don't need to know), I'm going offline for a while. Please feel
free to email me but know that I might take a while. I will still
periodically blog as I get on someone else's network so I won't be
totally silent, just more than normal. Know that everything is ok and
I'll be back up as soon as things permit me to be. Everyone here is
working to rectify situations that are coming up, but there are
external forces making some things difficult. Perhaps this time off
will give me a chance to read more of my ebooks... 498 so far. LOL I
got a LOT of reading to do, thank goodness they're not physical books!
I am also having issues with my CF card for my PDA, but so far it
seems I've been able to stave off disaster. I'm holding my breath
until the prices on the 4 or 8 gig cards come down far enough that I
can afford them. I do believe next time I will buy name brand unless
one is so cheap I can't talk myself out of it. But meanwhile, I shall
deal with the one I got now. Hugs from PA and email me if ya need me.

One For the Ladies
Why it's GREAT to be a WOMAN
1. We got off the Titanic first.
2. We can scare male bosses with the mysterious gynecological disorder excuses.
3 Taxis stop for us.
4. We don't look like a frog in a blender when dancing.
5. No fashion faux pas we make, could ever rival the Speedo.
6. We don't have to pass gas to amuse ourselves.
7. If we forget to shave, no one has to know.
8. We can congratulate our teammate without ever touching her rear end.
9. We never have to reach down every so often to make sure our
privates are still there.
10. We have the ability to dress ourselves.
11. We can talk to the opposite sex without having to picture them naked.
12. If we marry someone 20 years younger, we are aware that we will
look like an idiot.
13. We will never regret piercing our ears.
14. There are times when chocolate really can solve all your problems.
15. We can make comments about how silly men are in their presence
because they aren't listening anyway.

Disgraceful Pope?
However, I spent the last few years before the last Pope's death mesmerized. His personality, his sincere belief in his faith, and his genuine warmth and care about not just his fellow Catholics but ALL of God's children was something we humans haven't seen in a very long time. For a brief time, I even considered converting because of the charisma that was John Paul II. I was working janitorial the last few days of his life and I prayed that he wouldn't have to suffer anymore - hadn't he lived long enough, done enough good for his fellow humans, and brought enough wayward souls back to God? Shortly thereafter, he quietly slipped away - not into the abyss, but I'm sure straight to the pearly gates where he was surely welcomed with all the hoopla that the very best in humanity gets.
This being said, I am now worried, not just for all the Catholics - but for all of humanity - by the words of this current Pope. JPII did so much to heal relations amongst the faiths, and amongst Christian denominations. Now this new one... Benedict... Not sure what number he is... decades of work by JPII is being ruined and thrown away. To accuse all non-Catholics of not being REAL Christians is blasphemy - and this coming from the POPE!!!! I am truly saddened. But perhaps it too is a sign of the end. There are those that believe that the world will come to its end either at the end of this Pope's tenure or during the next one.
So what are we to do? We must speak up against this blasphemy against all that is good and righteous. We must not allow the world to think that this man speaks for all Christians - although Pope John Paul II did very well at this without anyone asking him to. There were times we disagreed with JPII but it was never on the core tenets of Christianity and what that meant.
May God forgive this man - and I pray God pulls him aside and shows him the error of his ways. Please feel free to give me your suggestions.
