My goodness we've had a lot of dying this week: Ed McMahon, Farrah Faucett, Michael Jackson, and now Billy Mays. Let's be real here; McMahon we kinda expected, he WAS sick and old. Same thing with Farrah, she was fighting the big fight with the big C. Michael, well, who really knows what was going on with him. But Billy Mays, the pitchman of pitchmen? What the hell? That one has me stumped - and wondering if the hard landing Saturday at the airport and getting stuff landing on his head may have caused something that slowly killed him and no one bothered to put the pieces together. His wife DID say he wasn't feeling well the night before. But it may not be the COD. I just don't know - nothing quite makes sense.
Got a lot of crap going on at work again. Another coworker got fired for stealing, and it doesn't make any sense. I just don't understand why someone with the stature and respect this coworker had would do such a thing. It beats me. I just don't get it...
Man it sure got hot here - for a few days. It's sure nice out now though, but I feel bad for my Aussie friends. I know some of you are freezing your rear ends off, but I'm sorry, it's OUR turn to get warm - but we're not even getting much of that! It's been way too mild lately for it being summer - and way WAY too wet! I'm not sure if I'm living in Pennsylvania or Florida!
Anyways, I'm off for now, so I'll see ya'll later!

Howdy!
Howdy folks.
I ended up not getting the tests done I'd wanted to yesterday - that clinic is just way too expensive. And I didn't exactly feel like I was amongst the smartest people. I don't want to deal with a technician when I'm bringing a sick cat in; I want to see the vet him or herself. I missed my regular vet - but Nimbus is on a different round of antibiotics this time, and maybe, HOPEFULLY this will work. I am so afraid that it won't though, but I can't focus on that. I just have to keep pouring all the optimism into this cat that I can, and hope that my pessimistic side is wrong yet again.
Man, talk about some storms this morning! Luckily I'd already arrived to work and got going before the things started, but it was really hard to work with them going and my nerves shot! I even broke a coffee pot! Whoops!! It's ok though, it was an extra one. Once I was out of "the hole" I was fine. I guess I just can't take being confined during storms anymore. We were supposed to get another one, and it was headed this way, but I think the little split I saw on the radar grew and we ended up inbetween storms! I'm not complaining though. I know some of you like storms, but for me they're just memories of bad times I'd rather forget.
So anyways, I'm off for now. I hope all of you are well, and Walter, I miss ya pal. And while ya'll are reading, drop by Frumpy Professor's blog, seems he needs a wee company, and tell him I sent ya by. I too will be joining ya'll over there soon.

...*sigh*...
Yesterday brought sad news for me. One of the actors that impacted me the most growing up - truly a childhood hero of mine - has died. You see, I grew up watching David Carradine on TV; my Mom was a die-hard "Kung Fu" fan, and we watched many episodes of the sequel, "Kung Fu: The Legend Continues" together. I admired the way, to be frank, a badass could be such a good guy. You didn't mess with him; looks were deceiving. Even his son on the show realized that being a cop and having weapons wasn't what made a man a MAN; it takes more than weapons to make someone strong. So I, like his widow and his manager, cannot believe this man committed suicide. He had so much left to do, a movie he was set to start filming within a week included. The condition in which he was found is quite suspicious too, and I can only hope that we find out what TRULY happened for his family's sake. I just can't fathom why - OR HOW - someone could hurt the man. Needless to say, I'm still in shock.

Quick Post
Hello my friends. I don't know about you, but there's a lot of talking around this part of the country about Tiller's murder back in Wichita. It's not shock that someone killed him, it's the shock someone brought a gun into a church to kill someone. We're unfortunately used to churches being bombed and vandalized, but to bring a gun into a church and shooting someone dead in front of his fellow parishioners is the shocking part. I guess that too is out the door, just like we used to feel safe in school - until Columbine.
So now that we have that out of the way, will someone please remind me to NOT walk my rear off?!? I won't go into details, but needless to say I'm tuckered out! And work today only made it worse.
I'll post new news later.
