Uh-oh!
Curzon is doing great. His fur is progressing nicely and he's still letting me semi-groom him (brushing is getting a bit more complicated). We're still waiting on the darker fur colors to come back in though. It just takes time.
Nimbus has taken a slight step back. I had to re-up his insulin a half-unit as he just didn't seem to be going anywhere, and I fear we may have to do it again. I'm just not sure what's going on, but we'll see. Right now he's the only cat missing as the twins are both taking baths up on the bed while I write this. Each one stops for a few seconds now and then to stare at the other, as if making sure they're not about to get disturbed by the other, not like they'd have to get up to disturb each other. They're close enough to reach out and hit each other, but they aren't in play mood.
Anyways, I'm going to head back off, as I'm not feeling so talkative. I hope everyone is getting through their week alright.

Cats, cats and more CATS!
I've spent most of today laying down or at least semi-down still trying to get rid of whatever has my stomach upset. I've had both of the twins with me almost the entire time, and then some. I spent most of yesterday evening in bed with all 3 cats, I think I woke up with the twins still there somewhere. After I finally got up (if you count moving from bed to couch lol), I had Curzon on my left side and Jadzia either on me or on my right side. I spent an hour sitting up flanked by the twins. It's like they know I'm not feeling good and they've taken it upon themselves to help me feel better. I think they've succeeded. At least right now I'm feelng the best I've felt in a few days, though the nausea still makes its passes, but only briefly now. Then again, I've yet to test trying to eat something more substantial than a banana. But hey, I got to start somewhere! Needless to say, I'm staying home today, no going out and watching the game. It's a later game anyways (4pm vs. 1pm) so I'll be watching probably from the comfort of bed trying not to yell so loud I disturb the whole neighborhood lol (thereby upsetting my poor tummy). Not that I'm saying I'll succeed - but I'll be trying.
Nimbus is recovering from his spike quite well. He's had 4 straight lower tests, so he's doing great. If he keeps this up I will be able to bring him down like I intended to do earlier in the week. Patience is a virtue, one I'm having to learn very painstakingly slow sometimes. But just watching this cat doing so well is worth it all. I was playing with him for a little while when I first got up and I saw him run, sprint, and pounce like I haven't seen since he was a few pounds lighter. He's definitely feeling better, and it makes me feel better. He's not taking as much crap from the other two as well. I've seen him throw up his back feet at Curzon (he's a back fighter, not a sitting fighter - he loves using those back kicking paws and does it very well) and stand his ground when mama hisses at him. But he's not above sleeping right with her, just making sure he's behind her paws!
Anyways, I am off for now, as I COULD talk politics, but I really don't FEEL like it. I just want to yell out what my Mom would probably say, "Fire them all and start over again because they're ALL useless!" Then again, I think that's true of all politicians, regardless of country. I bet Walter would agree the Aussie ones are about as worthless, and Kahless about the British ones. There's sometimes a good one in there, but they're rare to find it seems.
Adios my friends!
And remember: VOTE FOR MISHA!!!

Popping my head in...
Nimbus decided to spike last night, so I'm trying to get him to come back down. But I'm not boosting his insulin yet, he's doing fine on his own. It's probably all the milk he's gotten the last couple days as I felt I needed to make sure he was fine down *there* for a little while. Plus, with all the boy's been through this week, doesn't he deserve a treat? I think so!
I'm going to try to make another round at everyone's blogs this weekend, probably Sunday evening (depending on when the football game is and if I head out to watch it or decide to stay in). As much as I feel a need to go all out for this game (as it's a very big one), I can't risk getting myself sick either.
I'm such a wimp too, especially right now. With the tummy not feeling like itself, I decided it was a good reason to flush it out and take a break from my tea. Well, that lasted all of TWO days! Dangit, I AM hooked! But I figure every little bit helps. Right now, I have to focus on eating, even if that makes things temporarily worse. I can't afford to lose weight. I ain't about to lose my fat ass already (it's a joke peeps lol).
Mr. Cat made stuffed peppers Wednesday night, YUM YUM, so I think I still have one more dinner left. We only had 4 because there wasn't any more big ones worthy of stuffing at the grocery store when I got them. He gave one of his away and got some pretty tasty chicken stuff in return, but it has stuff in it that has milk in it, so only a nibble for me. I know, I have pills for that, but I'm not out to push my luck. For those of you who don't know how to make it, it's really quite simple, we just altered a recipe we found online slightly. But you DO have to like green peppers obviously lol. I do suppose you could use other colored ones though. But those will wait until italian sausage night - which I'm betting is going to be soon because I'm craving them! And then I'll have to cave in and let Mr. Cat get his burrito night in lol. But seeing as that's one that I do, he's going to have to wait for a day I'm not so plum exhausted. Thank God I got one of them slap choppers - it's a good way of venting my anger and dicing food at the same time LOL! Oh and OMG it's an eye saver from onions trust me. That's the reason we got it LOL.
Anyways, I am off for now, as it is much more comfy on my tummy to be laying down rather than sitting up. Even half-up is better. And since I still have to get through tomorrow and tomorrow's going to be a long day, I really must get as much healing in as possible while I can. I hope you southerners are enjoying your spring because you're making us northerners miserable with all that sunlight! Haha just kidding, but seriously, enjoy it, because I know winter was too long for many of you. I just pray our mild summer doesn't mean we're going to end up with one hell of a winter - yuck yuck yuck!

WTH?!?
SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE!
I guess anti-church (or in this case, mosque) doesn't count in some people's books. All Muslims cannot be judged as if they're all terrorists, as much as in this post 9/11 society we might be prone to do. It's not fair. What if all Christians were judged based upon what some did in the name of their religion? Or all Germans because of Hitler (whom, may I remind you, was actually AUSTRIAN)? It's not right, and maybe it takes someone who's been verbally belittled in their life to understand this. If you were called a Nazi as a child just because you're German or a n* because you're black, you'd understand a lot better.
What upsets me most about this whole thing is that a TEACHER was behind this! WTH?!? They of all people should know better. We expect our teachers to teach tolerance, not hatred. But I guess you can't win them all.
Kitty Conversation...
Also, sorry some of the text is so small, but it's hard for a technologically-challenged chick in a hurry to nail it right.

Announcement
Hey folks.
I just wanted to post a quick note to you all to watch for tomorrow's blog (hopefully I'll get to it LOL). It's too late now for me to boot up the PC and do it (as I should already be lights-out in bed instead of just sitting up in bed on the pda) but I just got done taking some funny pictures of the cats. On the agenda:
1. What happens when you're getting ready to move something and a cat notices the changes that you're making so you CAN move the object.
2. What happens when you're trying to be nice to a wet cat.
3. Well, just a good shot of Curzon. Do I need a reason? LOL
Hopefully I'll get to it tomorrow, but seeing as it'll be MY Monday tomorrow, we will see.
Ok enough about tomorrow. Real quickly a few other things from today:
1. Does laundry ever stop piling up?
2. Hot tub = great r&r. Hot tub + upset belly = good r&r + nap.
3. Can these politicians ever STFU? We still don't have a health insurance package (and from what I'm hearing, I really don't like the one up right now). Race is an issue AGAIN (wasn't this resolved a year ago... Geez). We got pols not wanting to send more troops to Afghanistan to win that war (forget Karzai, we need to get the people back on our side, and we will do that by helping them build infrastructure and keeping them safe).
4. Nimbus got a little more fur cut out today, but luckily most of it is unnoticeable because of all the surrounding fur. The only part that noticeably grew was right at the base of the tail, but I knew there was more there. I just wanted to give the boy a break. I'm still not thoroughly convinced his hind end is clean enough (where his fur got trimmed), but we will see. I might do a spot powder bath on that area to see if that helps. I think between the fur he lost in the bath and the trimmings he's gotten, he's lost 3 kittens' fur now! LOL but at least he didn't end up like Curzon.
5. Speaking of Curzon, he's still being a champ about it all. He's been glued to my side every moment I've been home this weekend (which wasn't nearly as much as normal) except when Jadzia beats him to my side LOL.
Ok, I really must get to bed. So off I go to post this while I feed the masses erp cats lol. Be well my friends.

Two-Parter
Nimbus is still doing good. His levels are still where they're supposed to be though he's getting a half-unit of insulin less than he was a day or two ago. He's going to get a big old bath here either later on this evening or tomorrow probably to correct some fur issues he's having before he gets like Curzon was before he got snipped up. I don't want or need two half-furry cats, after all!
Jadzia is having some itchy issues, and we don't know why. I don't think it's fleas - neither the boys or us humans are itching (more than usual at least) like we do when we have a flea issue. So I'm more thinking it is a scratch she gave herself that she's itched bigger, which she's done before. But I do have to monitor the situation because she is allergic to fleas and I really don't want to deal with that again. It's not fun having to haul a kitty to the vet for a monster shot of hydrocortizone - trust me that needle is HUGE. But it works wonders on her itchiness when she needs it. I would rather fix it myself though.
Curzon's fur is almost completely back to black now, he's just to fill it in and finish growing it out. He's not liking the food - not that he's protesting or anything - I can just tell by the way he looks at me that he can tell he's on a diet. He looks good though so he is just going to have to get over it.
Anyways, I am off for now to relax and enjoy the rest of the day off. I think I was yelling a wee too much at the game today as my throat is a little sore (ya think *geez*) but I still have my voice. Right now though, I'm not using it. I need to recover so I have a voice for when I go to work Tuesday.
*an hour later*
I decided to not even putt around. I just gave Nimbus his bath. He got me - good - but not in the bath. I'm surprised I was able to avoid his claws every time. He did bite me tho (not hard) when my fingers got too close. He was just letting me know he wasn't happy. He got me though on the towel-wrap. His back right paw got me right on my right thigh - one claw, one 3" scratch. OUCH. Not deep though, he never gets me deep. He didn't mean to either, he just wanted to get away and I HAD to get him as dry as I could so he doesn't get sick. He did fine though, he was a trooper and got through it just fine. I couldn't be more proud of him. No pictures though, as it's a bit too dark in here and I want to let the boy get himself dried off peacefully. In about an hour or so though I'm going to give him a thorough brushing to help him get dry and get rid of any tangles or mats he may still have. Luckily I caught it all early.
Anyways, back to enjoying the peace and quiet while it lasts. Someone around here likes doing laundry when I'm trying to sleep, and soon it's going to make me go postal. Luckily I'm off tomorrow so they can get away with it tonight.

Quick HI's
I'm in no mood to talk about work but it's ok. I just want to forget about it all right now.
So I am off to try to relax a bit more. Hope all of you are having a good weekend.

More Blog Changes
I also added a few of you new people to my blog roll. Some of you may not even noticed yet that I'm following you but I am! Muwahahahaha hehehe just kidding, seriously though, there are a lot of gorgeous furkids out there, and I think its time every last one gets their face out there.
And JIP - HUGS!
Home at last!
I don't think I've been happier to get home from work, not that I had a bad day because I didn't. I just wanted to get out of there so bad. Something made me want to get home to the furkids more than normal. Maybe it's the anticipation of seeing Nimbus' numbers come down a little bit, I'm not sure. I just wanted to get home and away from the zoo.
And then that thought got me thinking. What if this planet is a zoo? Are we really the zookeepers or are we the exhibit? I think our kitties think we're the exhibit and that's why they bring us "presents" - like they think a mouse'll feed us! And oh dear, if they see you in water, they just look at you like you must be insane! But then when you eat something you made, they look at you like, so you don't need me to feed you, why aren't you feeding me? I'll never forget when the twins were kittens and I'd be sitting in bed eating and all of a suddenly I'd have 4 paws at the edge of my plate trying to pull the plate down. They didn't beg or even ask, they just stole it - or tried to at least. But kittens just don't know any better, you can't get mad at them, only correct them. I miss the kitten days - except for the whole packages of toilet paper shredded, the bottom of the boxspring destroyed, the shooing off the tables. I can now proudly say I have 3 very good, proper grown cats. You might get a paw on the table but that's it, it's rare we catch one ON the table and usually it's because of a very-good smelling candle. They don't shred the furniture (though sometimes Nimbus grabs on it as he stretches but we do have occasional issues with him). They all use the box except when I don't keep up on it and even then they still pee in it (they're still training ME on keeping up on it lol - but 3 cats but only 1 litterbox is a bit of a job sometimes! LOL). But don't think they're little angels, because they're not. Jadzia (and sometimes Curzon too) will hiss at the poor boy for no reason and Nimbus just takes it almost every time. Curzon has no qualms about bragging about the "present" (in his case a toy) he "caught" at midnight when I'm struggling to stay asleep. And Nimbus has no problem putting his butt in your face when you don't get up when HE wants you up. I can't complain though; for rescued kitties, and my first kittens, the twins came out very well, and Jadzia turned out to be a better Mother than I could've ever asked for, especially considering she was still a kitten herself when he came flying out.
So today I'm dedicating this blog post to the kitten memories I'll never forget - twins on the ladder begging me to get them back off of it, Curzon attacking the wrapping paper like it was a beast, Jadzia whacking the dog on the nose when she got cornered, all the Curzon baths because he got doggie-bathed lol, Curzon holding Jadzia while they slept under the table during a bad thunderstorm the night before Nimbus was born, Curzon ever-so-lightly batting Nimbus around when Nimbus couldn't even SEE Curzon probably, Nimbus trying to eat the Ivory soap, Nimbus getting in the cardboard tube right in the middle and laying down frustrating BOTH of the twins... Yes there are a lot of good memories, memories that not even photos could tell because there's no camera that can capture all the laughter that they have brought upon me and this household. No, I cannot go without kitties ever again, but I will not "buy" them, I know they'll find me, or I'll find them when they need to be found. But for now, the house is full and I'm quite happy with that (though I could sure live with many more, but I can't afford them - and that's not right to have more than you can care for even if you can love them all).
Second Cutest Grey Kitten Pic in the World
But I'm betting Poppy as a kitten was adorable as a bugs though... I think Poppy should show us a kittypic!

A Quick Howdy
The cats are doing well, I think they're ready for the cooler weather (but if you had all that mass and fur, you would be too). I came home to see Curzon hogging the entire sunspot in front of the window. Of course once I got settled in, it was time for him to nap next to me, where he stayed for hours. That's our normal routine. Once I settle in on the couch, he comes and either lays on or next to me. Nimbus' numbers are still looking good but I want to see how much he climbs overnight before I start thinking about another dosage cut.
Work was alright, though much too busy for my tastes. There's just things going on right now driving me batty. Maybe I need to start a blog for everyone to b**** about their jobs on! Seriously though, luckily it's not as bad as it once was, but still, for the money, it ain't worth it barely.
Anyways, I am off for now. Hope everyone is having a good day.

*Insert Snappy Post Here*
I think I got around to everyone's blogs last night. There may have been a couple I didn't leave a message on, but I know I did on almost everyone's at least. If you think I forgot you, leave me a message - because I might have! I was going off of my Google Reader, so if, for some reason, you're not there, I very well probably missed you (FrumpyProfessor, I know I missed you - tonight I promise).
It sure feels good to have fall back, or at least late summer. For the entire week last week, Monday straight through to Saturday, it was cloudy, dreary, and cool. The rain didn't come hard until Friday and Saturday, but the periodical showers and the dark clouds were enough to ruin anyone's mood! Having the sun back - and the warmth that comes with it - is such a welcome sight, if I wasn't so apt to burn and not tan, I'd be outside right now on a blanket stretched out in the sun! But I know how my skin works, I'd toast in as much time as it takes most of you to get a nice tan. But I will go out and enjoy it a little - inbetween loads!
It was so funny last night... I thought for sure I was going to have to break up a cat fight - all over a 3-week-old catnip sock! It was cute though actually, though Jadzia kept getting punked out of it. I would refresh the nip, but they're still having plenty of fun with it right now so for now, why waste nip that is still working? I know I'm not the nicest cat mommy, but I only have enough nip left for one more filling probably. But so long as everyone's happy, I'm leaving it for now.
Speaking of cats, Nimbus is doing great. I just brought his insulin shot down a wee more yesterday afternoon, so we'll see how he goes for a few days. It sometimes takes him a while to get used to a change in dose, so it might be next month before I know whether I need to bring it down again or not! But he's happy, getting a little leaner, and starting to feel some energy he hasn't had in a while. Before I know it, he'll be putting both the twins in their places for all the crap they've given him over the last few months. I was wrestling with him a night or two ago and I got to tell you, he's definitely getting stronger in those back legs. If I didn't know better, those were Curry legs kicking me not Nimmy legs! But that's all the better for when the boys DO go at it - a more even-footed match.
Anyways, I think that'll do it - for now. Maybe I'll write more later.

Ok, TWO Updates!
Walter, I know you don't like black so much, sorry, but I DO have two black cats, so it is more than just because it's my fave color LOL.
I also boosted up the font size a little for those of you who actually swing by the blog. I know not everyone's eyes are sharp (heck even mine have their *cough* days).
I hope everyone enjoys. Now it's off for a few minutes to give the ol' rump a break and then I'll be off to see at least most of you.
Peace!!
Updates
Hello my friends.
Well football season started, and my team didn’t start well. But oh well. Shit happens.
On to better things…
Nimbus is doing great. He’s losing weight, he’s obviously happier, and his numbers are staying down. He did have a couple higher readings, but nothing I was worried about. He can be a finicky eater sometimes, so maybe he was just being picky in the food bowl. Who knows… Anything is possible with that cat. Curzon is losing weight too, not that he necessarily needed to, but it’s not a bad thing either. My only concern there is that a couple pounds lighter cat means a little faster cat probably. Will I still be able to catch a leaner, faster Curzon should he get the itching to run? I’m not sure. So, needless to say, his collar-free
Work is, well, work! L has been a doll keeping me laughing my rear end off, though sometimes she tries to annoy the fk outta me – thing is she’s so bad at doing it, it’s comical! I think she’s auditioning for the Verizon “Can you hear me now?” commercials! LOL seriously though, she does have a great sense of humor and when you’re starting as early in the morning as I do, ya need some laughter!
The blog is getting revamped as soon as I post this. Less politics, more cats and stuff – it’s time for a change. Then it’s off to visit you guys (at least as many as I can as quick as I can). Even if I don’t leave a comment, know I stopped by, though I will try to leave as many comments as I can.
I hope everyone has a great weekend – and don’t forget – VOTE FOR MISHA!
Go get em my cute lil snugglekitty – show em that grey(ish-blue) cats are the top cats in the world – or at least NZ!
