Some of you know in my distant past I was once friends with someone who everyone warned me was a perv. Well, they were right. A few years later, he was arrested for indecent liberties with a minor under 14. YUCK!! Well, knowing how close he lives to most of my family, I tend to keep an eye on him via the sex offenders database now and then. And I can tell you just in the last few years he's been locked up at least 3 times. And apparently the one conviction wasn't it, there was another! Though the webpage I found THAT out on I can't find again, so it could easily be more. This time he's not just in county jail, they moved him up to the bigger prison up the road a bit... which tells me either he got another conviction or he was prowling and broke rules of his probation. And to think, I used to spend time with this creep!! Bleh, but even when I knew him, much as I thought he was ok, I also had eerie feelings about him, like something wasn't right. This gut instinct probably saved my rear as the only time I saw him was while I was at work.
This is my point today. If your guts are telling you something's not right with a person, it's probably right. I can't count how many times something just didn't feel right and it was right - or how many times I regretted not listening to it later on! Ha, if I'd listened to my gut I'd never left home! But if I hadn't, I couldn't be where I am now either... oh well! Just please, friends, listen to your intuition, it's right more often than your brain is! And remember, once a perv, always a perv. And for those of you in the US, make use of Megan's Law, check your local sex offender registry, regardless of where you live! This guy was a very popular radio DJ... They're everywhere, don't go after them, just keep away from them, especially your children.
In other news, yes folks I still live, now and then. Things are extremely stressful right now but on a wing and a prayer we just might make it. I remain hopeful even as my brain starts to loose optimism. I have no other choice though, hope and faith are what I have no matter what. The cats are doing fine, I actually have two sunbaking cats right now LOL, well Curzon's KINDA sunbaking, not much of him is in the sunspot. Nimbus on the other hand, all but his head and the paw his head is resting on is in the sun. Silly cats, you'd think with all that fur they wouldn't need to sunbake, but they love it. Jadzia tried to crawl under the covers with me last night but couldn't take my tossing and turning. But that's what she gets for trying to sleep right next to my feet!
I hope this blog finds everyone well and I will see you all back on a regular basis as soon as possible. Wish me luck that I get this job!
(Just a side note, just found a webpage with the info, he offended again! He's locked up until 2015! Yuck yuck yuck, but at least kids will be a little safer now!)
