And this is my mess - more organized now - but my project mess. All them bundles of string used to be crammed into a 2" cubic box... it was such a hassle to find any color. But you can see now what I'm working on, a back profile of two cats sitting on a fence and the smirking smiley face I just finished last week. I'll do a background on it later, once I know if I'm going to be able to use any more of that space. I'm a little concerned I won't have enough space on top, but I'll be ok I think. I put the picture sideways so you can see how it looks when I have it hanging up on my wall to keep the strings hanging down. I just took plastic canvas scrap and yarn scrap to make the hooks. One day when I get bored I might do a background on it, but seeing as it's just a place to hang my cross stitching threads, I probably never will. Hell, if I get too many more colors, I might need to get another sheet! Luckily I still have 5 more :). I always have a few sheets on me, and they're dirt cheap, so it's no big deal. As for the cross stitch sheets, the small squares from other mini projects that I have I keep in an empty cd case that's been emptied of any excess plastic and paper, so I can see the blank ones and the ones with stitching started. I usually have my spare threads wrapped up, but I need more canvas spools for that, and right now, that's not a priority as I'm trying to figure out a way to hang them up on my sheet too. We'll see, I just don't want to have to stitch on extra hooks, it wasn't the funnest or easiest thing!

HEY!!!!!
My cats won't let me stretch out!!! But can I complain? Look at my babies... can you really argue with twins lying right at your feet under the desk? Naw.

i did cross stitch once, i did enjoy it too, started one in 2000 and it is sat in a draw still unfinished LOL
From a feline perspective that yarn is highly tempting!
