Well I'm closer than I thought I was on figuring out what's up with my PDA. I thought it was the small battery, but last night, I had the same thing happen to me on the big battery (both in power and size). So it's either the pda itself or a setting that is saved in backup. I'm leaning towards the latter as I have the new beta version of MortButtons on there, and it has a new today plugin setting that allows you to have your buttons on the today screen. Well, technically I can do this with another program that I now rarely use (as it slows up an already slow boot-up), but I thought it'd be cool to try it. Well, that is causing the black screen of death I do believe, so that along with another issue got shot off to the developers (the latter thanks to a friend who sent it off in my name because I was having PC issues, thanks again). I won't probably go back to the last public release, as the pda boots fine as long as that plugin isn't enabled. I THINK I have a program that can kill it, but I don't want to go tinkering with settings right now! It doesn't solve the small battery's issue of not wanting to go below 99%, which could have exasperated the issue. So we shall see, but not right now. I need a break from fighting with the pda, so maybe I'll fight with it later on today.
