It's How You Do It!

There are times when this world when things just seem to go wrong, when everything that you know isn't what is real, when things just don't go quite as planned... Thus starts my day...
It actually started last night. I had planned to be in bed early (around 10pm) in the hopes that I could actually get to sleep before midnight. Well, so much for that. The night ran away from me, seemingly literally. Before I knew it, it was already well past midnight, approaching 1am and I had just crawled into bed. So by the time I got to sleep, it was already after 2, so there goes being awake before 10am.
I knew I had a lot to do, as I knew I needed to at least go to the store today (which is a 3 mile walk round trip). But I ended up having to the bank too, on the other side of town (a mile to the west). So, stupid me, already up late (11am), instead of taking the day in steps, I decided to take it all at once, walking the 2 miles round trip to the bank but instead of coming home and resting first, going straight on to the grocery store. So by the time I got all my walking done, taking into account walking inside of stores and such, I figured by the time I sat down at home, I'd walked close to 6 miles with only two small (less than 5 minute) breaks. Yes, very very stupid me...
Just as I was sitting down to eat, our roommate came home. Thankfully too, sort of. He decided he wanted to go out and take my man with, just the guys hanging out on a Friday afternoon. So while they talked for a few minutes, I quick ate my food (not out of rush, out of hunger) and tried to decide whether or not to take a nap (not like I could afford to take one after the late awakening). Well, once the guys left, I decided, with the apartment to myself, I was taking a recovery soak in the tub! Only one problem... A cat that LOVES drinking bath water! Thank goodness I don't put anything in my water, except some as-hot-as-tolerable water!
So why am I telling you this?
The moral of the story: Don't try to make any big plans or resolutions on your significant other's birthday!!! LOL
And while I got ya'll laughing, remember this...
A cat with her tail down is in trouble, a cat with her tail up is either proud or just farted! *gag* Poor Nimbus...
