Super Bowl, Weather, Computers

Well the big day is almost here. No, I'm not talking politics this time! The
Super Bowl is just a day away, and like every other year it seems, I really
don't care who wins I don't think. I think this one will be another one watched
merely for the commercials, which reports have said cost over $2mil for each 30
seconds. That's no chump change! Let's put this into perspective. A recent
former news broadcast anchor's contract was said to be neary $1mil a year.
Figure that the weekend national broadcast anchor probably gets a little more,
so it's probably safe to say that the network makes the money it needs for all
its anchors' salaries for the year in one day. So I guess we should help the
companies shelling out all that money get the most bang for their buck by
watching their masterpieces... (insert sarcasm here).
What's with this weather? Where's that "global warming" now? China's buried in
record snow, the midwest is buried, the northwest is buried, the northeast is
buried, and here in PA, it seems we might float away! I've made it known several
times that I think humans aren't to blame for the warming, just we're only
making it worse. But let's make this clear. If they are right and we're heading
for a warm-up, silly as it sounds, stock up on food, water and thermal
undergarments while you can, because as the ice melts, the water current
temperatures will change, screwing with climates everywhere, leading to another
ice age as the cold waters will not be able to be warmed by the southern
currents because the ice that has melted has cooled them too much!
Well, I think (emphasis on the think lol) I solved my inbox issue on the PDA, so
that may save me (for now at least) from having to reformat the SOB completely
when I get the new CF card (which should have already been here but apparently
the mailman hasn't delivered the fkn money order). So who knows, maybe there
won't be any downtime for me after all! I'm sitting here watching the desktop's
internet connection fade in and out, and being thankful I'm not trying to send
emails on it right now! So hopefully this blog will post and I'll have a good
solution to my email-sending needs! Well, here we go....! (and of course if
you're reading this, you know I succeeded)
