Work Thought of The Day

Why does things suddenly change so drastically the moment a "big wig" comes in to visit and/or inspect? Isn't things supposed to ALWAYS be that way? And shouldn't one operate as such?

In a perfect world, yes. Everyone does the dance for the big wigs.

I dance for the big wigs too. If things are not right you get your butt kicked!

I think we all "dance for the big wigs too" to use Kahless phrase, not necesarily because we are afraid of getting our butts kicked but to avoid such. If we do the little extra there and then for their visit and all is fine by them, they are less inclined to visit your store too often and visit (Hopefully) other stopres deemed more in need of their expert advice.
Its called "keeping them happy and out of my hair". So although it can be a pain at the time, the extra pain then is worth the extra relief keeping them happy brings.
