ENOUGH SNOW ALREADY!

WTF are we supposed to do with nearly 4 feet of snow? Yes, it may be that bad. We have upwards of two and a half feet on the ground right now and depending on which station you watch, they are calling for another foot if not close to two feet starting tomorrow through Wednesday! I just don't know what we're going to do with all of it. I sure as hell never want to see another flake of snow in my life! Hey, Vancouver, you want snow? Come on down here! We have plenty to share!
I just think it's ironic how the meterologists call for one foot and we get two. My worry is, if this is a trend, and they start calling for two, does that mean we get three feet? Or even worse, four feet? God help us if we end up with that much snow - digging out from two massive Nor'easters is going to be hard enough, even if the meterologists are right and we only get another foot. We just don't have anywhere to put it! We can't just shove it in the creek (no, no, no, we can't hurt the ducks). We can't put it in open fields (that'd be hurting the Canadian Geese habitats - grumble grumble). We apparently can't shove it in the river anymore apparently. I just don't get it! Where is all of this supposed to go? And apparently once upon a time they used to ship it off and melt it (dang I thought I thought of that first), but apparently that's no good either anymore (probably too expensive). I just don't understand. It's free water. Melt it, clean it, and store it for when it gets hotter! Or maybe pump it underground where we get it from most of the time anyways. We could undo some of the damage we've done that way. SOMETHING has to give. I'm so tired of snow!
I hope everyone got a laugh out of my last post. Shortly after I sent that, I picked Jadzia up off of my lap and gave her tummy scritchies and she promptly fell asleep where she stayed for well over an hour. I have to say I was in paradise. It's not often you get a cat to literally fall asleep in your arm, and with the exception of the first two nights when I rescued Curzon, I don't think it's happened in a very, very long time. My hamsters would fall asleep in the corner of my elbow when I was a kid, but never for over an hour (maybe that was because I was a wee bit, well, ansy as most kids are). It melted me for sure. I guess between my twins they're making sure I don't go anywhere today. I did sneak out to check the mail real quick and boy did I get the looks from Jaz when I got back inside! I don't think I was supposed to even step outside! Sorry, kiddo! I needed the fresh air!
I think this'll mark the end of my blogcation, though I won't start catching up with everyone until probably tomorrow. I'm going to try to start clearing out my Google Reader tonight, but without a "mark all as read" button on the PDA, that will be a more tedious task. But I will try to at least start reading tonight, but hopefully tomorrow I'll catch up. Thanks everyone for being so understanding of my vanishing for a couple days. It was good to get away and to hang out somewhere OTHER than home for a day.
So anyway, I am off for now to spend some quality time with Curzon since Jadzia has been such an attention hog. We hope everyone else affected by this last snowstorm still has power and all the essentials. Be safe everyone and remember to be safe. We don't need any beans or kitties with injuries or worse!
