Things

Hey folks. Well, I had all sorts of nice things planned to talk about, and the format laid out in my head, but forget about it. I got comfy with Jadzia on my lap and I forgot everything! Curzon was such a lap hog yesterday that I think Jadzia was playing catch-up. I can't blame her. Our cuddle time is always the best because she doesn't get as fussy as Curzon does when I have to readjust (usually at least). I can move my legs if I need to, and as long as I hold her, she's fine. Sometimes I can get up, carry her with me to grab something, sit back down and she'll get re-cozy on my lap even. Curzon on the other hand expects complete stillness and attention to HIM, nothing else LOL.
Boy, oh boy, could I tell today's Friday at work. It wasn't the busiest Friday ever, but it was busy enough. I think with the improving weather, all the people with a case of cabin fever are getting out and enjoying the milder weather. And with the temperatures staying in the 40s, the snow is melting slow enough so as not to cause the creeks and rivers to rise too fast. Considering the creek is within 4 carlengths of my door, this is a VERY good thing. Winter flooding is the worst flooding just because of the bone-biting coldness of the water.
Things are going good here. I think I have taken care of all the important things that have to be done outside except the grocery shopping over the last week or so. The bulk of the laundry is done and I think I might be able to skate by with only doing one load this weekend. I am going to TRY to get some energy up to do some stuff around here this weekend, but energy is in short supply lately. I know part of that is me not eating as much as I should be, but with the appetite not being there, well heck, my eating anything is a feat in itself! I do try to stuff my face even when I'm not hungry but sometimes that's easier said than done.
My thermals have gotten a good test this week and I think it's safe to say they have passed their tests. It feels good to have one less heavy layer on because one of the thinner layers is working better. Yes, I am indeed one very happy camper lately. Unfortunately, my little bean pillow thingie is missing, and I have no idea where it's gone off to! It has to be here somewhere... The question is where! I'm not too worried about it though, as when I do get that cold, I have other ways of warming up.
Ever since I brought one of my two automatic air freshener thingies into the bedroom, I've found quite coincidentally that the incidences of cat protest have gone down dramatically. Now it sprays near the box but not over it (so that a cat doesn't inadvertently get sprayed). I haven't been more careful about the box since I brought it in, so it's not that. Maybe indeed it isn't so much what's in there as it is how bad it got stunk up (which is usually Curzon's doing lol).
So anyways, I am off to catch up with everyone and try to get some extra relaxing in to start my weekend off right even though I'm starting a wee early. I hope everyone is doing good and I'll make my pass through to make comments this weekend.
Oh and Brian, good luck with all them girlcats... Poor Curzon bit off so much more than he was up for when he went after his sister today... I can't imagine how much worse it is for you, being around so many girlcats! You're either the luckiest cat alive or the unluckiest, depending on their moods!

My sisters and usually pretty easy to get along with...usually, but I brought them up right...yea, right. I feel pretty lucky to have 4 sisters who all get along! Hey Curzon, nothing wrong with being a lap hog. Y'all have a great weekend!
