Howdy folks! Well you guys are starting to pull through! We have three more submissions! But don't get yourselves all relaxed now! It's still not a competition! A total of 4 entries only makes for 2 for each side and we all know that just doesn't make anything very interesting! I haven't had a chance to look at any of your submissions yet, and I do apologize, but I've been quite busy this week. Tomorrow is a short day though, so I'll get around to looking at all of your submissions tomorrow. Remember, you're down to your last two days - submission deadline is Sunday night! I'll be spending the following few days after that deciding the winners depending on who me and the cats think should win. So let's get this party started!
Oh and there is other news! For those of you who aren't cat bloggers but still read my blog, I have decided to go ahead and start a blog that'll be at least mostly cat-free. Now that's not to say that I won't welcome everyone because I will, but we're going to give it a test shot. I'm not saying I'm going to keep it around, but I'm going to test it out and see if I can make it work. It'll probably be one of my weekend tasks, as I am taking a wee extended time off, a whole extra day! I decided it was time for me to try to get some relaxation in and hopefully get back some of my energy that has been lacking lately.
A couple other things before I wrap up...
Our thoughts and purrs go out to everyone affected by the recent spat of earthquakes, first in Haiti and Chile, then Japan, Indonesia and Turkey (if I remember right). Hopefully the shaking will subside soon and all of the affected people and animals will be able to start the long process of getting their lives back on track.
And to the people in the US midwest dealing with an extremely unusually start to the tornado season, please remember to be safe, keep an eye on the sky, an ear on your weather radio and please, above all, BE SAFE! Don't be stupid and try to outrun the thing. Tornados move so very fast, it's not worth your life to try to race it. Just bunker down in your safest spot - hopefully a basementt - and snuggle your pets through it. Spring will end, the tornado danger will shift, and life will resume. And to all the Yankees up here... You have no idea what a tornado is even, do you? Trust me, when you see one, follow the folks that lived through them. They'll get you to safety. Twisters may be a bunch of spinning wind, but that's not the danger. The danger lies in all the debris that gets sucked up and becomes projectiles!
And one last thing: RAIN RAIN GO AWAY WE DON'T WANT YOU! Snow was bad enough, we don't need you making things worse! BRING BACK MR. SUNBEAM!
