Some Stuff

Hello folks. I am kicked back relaxing just like I should - and it feels good, though it'd feel better if I would be sleeping right now. But I just didn't feel sleepy after I got up to give Nimbus his shot, so I stayed up. I even had a bowl of cereal for breakfast - which NEVER happens. I'm usually already working by breakfast time unfortunately. Of course there's nothing on TV at 6am on a Sunday morning.
Something funny happened this morning though - well funny to ME! Jadzia loves sleeping up on top of the loveseat (or the couch, depending on her mood), which is really easy because this furniture is the overstuffed kind so it's plenty wide enough for all the cats. Anyways, I don't know if she was trying to wake up or just trying to resituate herself, but she rolled right down the loveseat! Now don't worry, she went the soft way, right down the front onto the couch - right where my coat was! So she had a soft landing. It was funny, yes, but I also know that it was quite embarassing for her, so I called her over (and she almost always comes when called, and sometimes even when I'm calling another cat MOL) and gave her some scritchies and cuddles to make her feel better. A little while later, she's back up there, watching BirdTV out the window. Her little ears are like two telescopic radars, the way they're twitching around picking up every little sound inside and outside!
Nimbus *knock on wood* is through the worst of it, though I'm not saying these swings are over. He didn't do an overnight spike last night like he usually does, so I'm hoping that he begins to stabilize and come down. If it gets as hot outside as they're forecasting today, I'm going to have to turn on the AC so that he can stay cool. Right now though it's so gorgeous outside, albeit VERY humid. I feel sticky myself, so I KNOW it's humid out... Of course they're calling for storms this afternoon, so that'll only make it WORSE. *sigh*
I know I haven't mentioned much about sports lately. Most of us around here are still kinda hurtin' after the hometeam Flyers didn't quite pull off the miracle every hockey fan in the state of PA was hoping for. But what a season they had. Now come on Bengals, show the world you can do it too! We believe! It's not like it can't be done. Yes the receiving core is young, but that means quick! It's time to show them ugly steelers and rotten ravens that CATS RULE! Oh, and please, let's given them filthy jets a taste of their own medicine this year, just for me, please? Kthxbai! (MOL!)
Oh I forgot to mention, I finally got up the energy right before bed last night to give at least Nimbus a good brushing (though Curzon did get it a little). I go two days MAX not brushing the boy and he ALREADY was starting to get pit tangles! Greepers! I wouldn't trade him and all his fur for the world though. That thick furry coat keeps him so nice and toasty during the winter, which really helps around here, especially one like last year's! I can keep him cool... That's a lot easier. Trying to warm up a cat is harder (unless you have a cat like Dante and Domino that doesn't mind getting dressed up).
Speaking of which, did ya'll see Dante's pooh post? Wendy, that was a trip. I'll try to remember to head over later, but that was just adorable and funny. I never saw Dante as a pooh kind of cat though. Tigger, yes.
So anyway, I'm going to head off and do a lot more relaxing... Maybe I'll get to taking some pictures this afternoon... Either way, I'll make sure I load up on the LOLs today for the week, that way everyone at least can laugh if I need a longer blogcation.
So, so long from sticky icky humid PA for now and hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend! Extra snuggly blankies for Poppy, Rumbles, Misha, and all the other kitties getting into the depths of winter!

PeeSss: Don't let that big little brofur of yours bully you, Inigo. Defense doesn't disqualify you from Good Cat standing. *nosetaps* - Nimbus
