A few notes

No Mancat Monday post today. We're too busy - hogging TSB's lap! Though we did give her a break - so she could stop cooing over us and give some of the affection to Nimbus (we needed a break you know MOL). Needless to say, he didn't appreciate it at all considering it meant getting swooped up, cuddled and kissed! Now he knows what it's like to be me! MOL!!!!
Speaking of the runt, he did another spike overnight, and gave TSB a good scare. She bumped up his shot though and hopefully that'll fix that. He's not acting any different, so that's a good sign. TSB thinks he's lost a little weight, and if he has - good, but I'd like to know where! He's still one monsterously huge cat, and his ego is growing along with it! I swear, ever since he learned how to squirm his way out of TSB's arms, his ego just started growing wildly out of control, despite my best efforts to keep it in check! And this whole "good kitty" nonsense isn't helping! He doesn't understand that "good" is NOT supposed to be in a cat's vocabulary! PFT! The Queen is now in charge of trying to knock some sense into him and get his ego back in check - we'll see if SHE can pull it off!
And as for the Queen herself, she seems to be feeling ok after yesterday's hairball, but it's much too soon to tell if it's problem solved. And TSB thinks she might be the indrect cause of Nimbus' spike. You see, because of Jadzia's upset belly, instead of one saucer of milk yesterday, there was two. And that might have made all the difference to Nimbus' system. You know TSB can't deny us anything, so if she gives to one, she has to give it to all of us or we let her know how offended and dissatisfied we are in her!
I don't understand what the big deal was with my hairball yesterday. Seeing TSB rush over over nothing was kinda overdramatic. So it was stuck - I was working on fixing that! Though I have to admit seeing her sqirm and rush to the sink to wash her hands afterwards was totally hilarious and worth every last bit of discomfort she brought upon me in her efforts to separate me from said hairball! Maybe that'll teach her! MOL somehow I doubt it though. She tends to "rescue" us when we don't need rescuing!
So that's all from here, sadly. There's nothing much going on around here except the heat is back. Our hearts are with all the people right now that are under water. Our "flood" was just a flash flood caused by a blockage in the creek flow downstream that caused the water to back up. It wasn't nearly as bad as it was a few years back when it nearly backed right into our apartment! This is a great area to live in iffin you have to live in a city, with the creek and the woods nearby. But sometimes that has it's drawbacks - namely floods and the occasional TOO close deer sighting! TSB had a few of them when she'd walk to work. None ever made a move towards her - they were probably as shocked to see a human as she was to be within 12 feet of a deer! We're still trying to convince her to let one of us loose in the morning before all the hoomins wake up so we can go hunting because there are bunches of little bunnies that have been taunting us from outside lately. But she says no, because she doesn't want one of us to get in danger and something about another cat that lives outside... Well we sure as heck don't want to take a meal away from another cat, so I guess we'll just have to deal with their glares!
Stay cool everyone!

Curzon
King, Count, Emperor, and most importantly, ALPHA CAT

(PeeSss: *choke* don't buy into his crap. He's only alpha when I LET him be! And he complains about the runt's ego! HA! - Jaz)
