As most of you know, brofur is a scaredy cat. He hates loud noises, especially thunder. So he was under the bed most of the night last night. But he wasn't far this time, for some reason, so I was able to check in on him now and then. Believe it or not, I do love my brofur, as annoying and stinky as he is. If it wasn't for him we wouldn't have our mama.
Speaking of mama...
See, mama is a midwestern girl. She's seen storms so angry that they take everything with them. She too was once scared of storms, but luckily mama met daddy and daddy helped her through her fear. She's spent the last few years trying to help brofur through his but at the first rumble he's usually gone. But when I told her last night that he was reachable, she laid down on her stomach to see him. And so not-like mama, she didn't like immediately grab onto him like she tends to do with both of us. She's a grab and then pet kind of hoomin (sheesh) - you know those ones who have to scoop you up and kiss you and hug you and all those icky hoomin things! But last night she just laid there for a good while and scritched him and petted him - to the point he started purring just a little!
Mama says she is ok with him under the bed if he isn't scared. She says every kitty needs a place they can feel safe. She just wishes his wasn't so hard to get to! She also said she wishes she could even GET to mine! lol.
Now if you will excuse me, I have some nip to bunnykick into submission.
Hugs, purrs, and smoochies (as appropriate) for all our furiends!
