Well, as we all know, when things change, Murphy's Law tends to take effect, andanything that CAN go wrong WILL go wrong. So, as the (former) Girl Scout, adopted the Boy Scouts' motto, like I do every time things change, and I have prepared for just about anything.
I have Icy Hot. It's a great muscle pain reducer, though it stinks like he**, but if you rub it in good and give it a few minutes, the smell is gone. So if my ankle starts at it, I can fix it on break.
I have Orajel. I know me and this cold air, the next thing you know I'll be hurting. Two minute fix. Sometimes a wee Icy Hot (on the skin outside the pain area of course, doh) sometimes helps too, oddly enough.
I have a few doses of Aleve, just in case my back starts hurting. This is the most likely option as I wear out and my back gets wary of being on my feet all day. But hopefully I won't need it either.
I got all my woman things ready to go. Though, as this is NOT the best time of the month for me to be starting a new endeavor, I will walk in prepared on that one! It's not like you can go "oh s***" and run away lol!!
I even have put some of my cross stitch project stuff in my purse. Not a lot of course, just enough. Why you ask? Well, I tend to eat first then want to relax a few minutes before going back to work. What better way?
I've had several of you ask if I was nervous, excited, scared, or any of the above the last couple days. I appreciate the concern, but I find my mood to be more of a resigned optimism, if that makes any sense! But my laundry is done (what I'll need this week at least) and I'm just about ready to go, so I am going to be able to relax more tomorrow. Though I must be careful about how I relax, relaxing too much can make it difficult to sleep!
Before I go, I want to thank Katy and Cheryl tons for the last couple days as well, especially considering the headaches!
I will try to write as much as I can and I hope that you all are patient with me and enjoy the new twists and turns this blog is bound to take.
