Howdy folks, it was decided it was time to go "hunting" - so a-hunting we went! The nip sock was the poor prey, and all 3 cats got in on the action! First you see Jadzia demonstrating her skills (though she was a bit distracted because I was moving around and the boys, especially Nimbus, kept coming around). Note this is the only video with audio because I screwed up in snipping the other one down.
In part 2, we see Nimbus showing off his skills...
And of course, finally Curzon shows them both how it's done... Both in catching and "killing" the sock.
I should also note that something very odd happened today: JADZIA, Ms. Indoor Only, WANTED to go outside! Mr. Cat had warned me that she had gotten out the door earlier (don't worry she was still inside) and so she was surely wanting to go see the world. So when I walked in, sure enough, she was out again! So I grabbed her harness and the lead and got her hooked up. We went outside, argued about whether we were going to just lay outside in the cold or go see things (I won lol), and inspected the basement for evil bugs and rodents. We didn't find anything so I let her lead the way back home, and gave her love before we got back inside. As I type this, she's laying on my lap where she can stay for a little while at least (I do have to get up soon enough and take care of Boo). She was a very good kitty for the most part and I'm most grateful. There was no hissing, growling, or trying to claw me to pieces. Just her normal skittishness!

I do agree that Curzon is the winner when it comes to hunting in your house! His video is the most action-filled. I find that kitties do the most amazing things when you're not trying to film them, and then just sit there when you do.
They're all alike! Very cute, too!
Those were great hunting videos, won't mention any names but practice will help you come out on top next time.
