No, I'm a REAL mean cat mommie. First of all, after a longer-than-scheduled day at work, I just wanted to get home, eat, and crash out. So Boo got his shot early. I'm not sure he dug that or not. And then I got mean. I swooped him up, hauled him outside, and plopped him (feet first of course) in the snow (of course stuff away from the areas that had been salted). Mind you we got a good 10-12 inches... LOL. It went all the way up his legs and his belly and chest compacted some snow. He pondered for a minute how to get out of it, then figured out it was movable, and plowed right out of it. I let him back in the main door then made sure he didn't pick up any rock salt along the way and let him in. Curzon, sometimes a slow cat mentally, didn't run away, so he got kidnapped too and plopped in the snow (in a different spot of course lol). But he didn't seem to mind as much, so he got plopped a second time! After the same inspection, I let him back in and watched them dry off. Jadzia would've had to go too, but with her infection, she's not going outside right now. She's being smart as it is and not spending as much time in the window sill, which is what I think got her sick in the first place.
And then I made myself a lovely deli sliced turkey sandwich for a late second lunch (or early dinner, whatever you want to call it) - and I didn't even attempt to share it! The boys are still avoiding me (hahaha for obvious reasons) first of all, and before I ate, I chased Jadzia down and gave her the antibiotic that is making her feel better, which she absolutely hated. I hated it even worse because I snagged her by the tail and I had to lunge onto her so she wouldn't pull on her tail and get hurt. So she probably didn't feel the tail grab but I know she felt me grabbing her hips. I didn't hurt her but I try my best to not even RISK doing so. I'd much rather just grab her when she's laying with me or when she walks up, but I really didn't want to have to get up right after I ate to give it to her. She's such a spoiled girl as it is, she hates getting pilled, as if I'm just torturing her to no avail. But I can't pill her like the boys because every trap I can form with my body she can find a way out of or make impossible for me to access her! For being such a big cat, she can become very tiny VERY quickly.
Speaking of Jadzia, she's doing tremendous. I did a quick itchy inspection last night as I was trying to get to sleep and I didn't find much, even on her hind quarters. What little I found came right off, so it was healed up too. She's not even itching as hard when she IS itching. So obviously the fleas are gone.
Nimbus, on the other hand, isn't sure if he's all cat or half cat, half koala (you'd understand why I say that if ya saw how he was hanging on the pole part of the post staring at me lol). Sometimes I think he's part owl too the way he's constantly watching and cooing. Coon beans know the sound I'm talking about. It's almost like a shorter version of an owl's call.
Anyways, I am off to stretch out and check in on everyone from the PDA. Hope you enjoyed the weekend!
