Oh yea...

Hello friends.
We've had a wee interesting development here that bears some mentioning (and perhaps a little braggin' on the boy). You see, we were going out for Christmas dinner but we had to leave well before Nimbus was due for his poke and shot. So I tested him right before he left, and he was WAY lower than I expected, and way too low for me to give him a full shot and then leave. So I gave him a half shot and hoped that he wouldn't spike too badly. Well, not only did he not spike, he barely rose at all! So since that shot, he's been getting half the insulin he used to get! Now I did up him a wee bit just to keep him level so he doesn't do one of his famous sudden spikes, but going from 4 units to around 2.5... Well I'll take it! And while I'm braggin' on my lil boy... He found his (inner) balls today! I don't know if he was just feeling particularly perky or if he got a hold of that nip sock before I got home, but OMG he was OWNING this place this afternoon! He gave Curzon a chase and he stood up to his Mom and didn't back down - and oh did she growl and hiss! I was so afraid it was gonna turn ugly just from all the sounds and posturing, but I just snoopervised from afar as these guys have never gone at it with the intent to hurt each other. Heck I've only ONCE broke up a fight between these cats, and that was just so neither one looked like a dork later with a ton of missing fur and a nip out of the ear! I guess whatever Jadzia did, it really warranted Nimbus' response, as he didn't back off until she relented. I am so proud of my boy. He is definitely a ManCat! As we all know, first rule of being a ManCat is knowing when to let it go and when to press the issue!
Also, I'm not sure I told ya'll or you could notice by the pictures, but JADZIA GOT HER COLLAR BACK! She's a wee skinnier around the neck (because of the missing fur), but all in all, a kitty happy to have her jingle back (yes she has a little bell - shh so does Curzon). She wasn't so sure she wanted it back on at first because of all the fuss as I had to tighten it up a little to keep it from hanging off of her neck like a way-too-long necklace, but I think it's safe to say the twins are back to being their normal selves, announcing themselves like royalty.
So anyways, I am off for now to sort through like 300 recent pics of the cats that I haven't gone through and filed away. I really shouldn't wait this long, but as I say this, I already have another near 100 to go through as soon as this batch is done! Thank God for digital camera photography! Otherwise, only models like Misha would be getting their pics taken!
