You know every once in a while it hits me just how big Nimbus is. I've had a couple of those moments the last few days. The first one was a day or two ago (I've lost track of my days it seems lol) when Nimbus had obviously had enough and was bossing everyone around. Instead of backing off from his mother, he got all big and dominant, getting closer and closer instead of standing still or backing off. OMG he looked so big - and I was so proud of him. He gets so much crap, especially from his mother, but occasionally from Curzon too. It felt good to see him stand up for himself, even though it wasn't the first time. He's just such a peaceful cat... I can only imagine what it took to get him to turn off that peaceful side even for a moment. It was either something one of them said to him or the NipSock. The other moment was just a few minutes ago when I had Nimbus on my lap. Then it hit me - OMG this cat is HUGE. Sitting on my legs he was nearly face-to-face level with my head! Now granted, I'm no tall chick, but I'm not quite a midget either (though I don't mind being called one rofl - I'm used to it from growing up around very tall people). But Nimbus is friggin' big. And I don't mean FAT. I mean BIG. The strength in his legs is incredible, and to look at him you'd never guess he can turn on a dime in a sprint - but he can! He's heavy, but he's quite solid. I'm not saying there's no fat on him, because I know better. But to hold him in all his fluffy glory is something else... when you pick him up you realize this is no ordinary cat. I think
Dante's beans would agree. Coons are something different, that's for sure. I bet
Fluff and Rumble's beans think the same too (be nice, or I'll have to give you a silly nickname hehe).
So anyways, this is what we're up to today...
I'm doing laundry - and lots of it.
Nimbus is snoopervising, though most of it from his cave where he can barely see anything...
Curzon is snoopervising too, from the safety of the couch...
...Though sometimes he'll get up to see what I'm doing, still sleepy of course...
...And sometimes just to remind me why one of his nicknames is Count Chocula ROFL!
Jadzia on the other hand, is today's mobile snoopervisor. She knows how to stay out of the way though!
Doesn't she look so much prettier with her collar back on? THAT's how my girl should always look, royal and happy!

Oh yes! MCs are certainly distinctive. Most of the time I look at Dante and just see a normal pussycat, but when you pick him up and hold him or look at his face close-up, you realize how big he really is! I agree.
Glad to hear Nimbus stood up for himself. Sometimes, you can push a guy too far. The MC nature is to be so laidback, though, that it really takes something for them to become aggressive in any way.
Your kitties are looking simply marvelous!
Though I am not a Maine Coon cat, my beans do say how solid my legs are, and I eat a ton, even though I don't seem to be fat. Mom says I put it all into growing fur!
Happy New year all.
Love the vampire kitteh pic!
Mombean was scheduling posts and for some reason the scatching post pic that was schedulded for next week went ahead and posted. Oopsie!
Mummy can't believe how big I am, and I'm still growing!! Maine Coons apparently keep growing till they are three!! (I've just turned one) and I'm about 16 or 17lbs now, but not fat at all!
Brother is about 15lbs, which is perfect for a ragdoll. He's full grown now. When mummy and daddy see other kitties they can't believe how mini they look!
Yippeeeeee!! I'm gonna be MEGA massive!!! Keep growing till I'm 4 or 5? Watch out bro!! heh heh heh
He's quite handsome, and he is rather LARGE! What a fellow!
All of your kitties are so very gorgeous!
Yep, what a handsome dude fur sure! Hey, Happy New Year to all of you from all of us!!!
