Some stuff

Hello friends. Well, it's warmed up SLIGHTLY... If you call flat freezing a warmup. But considering we've spent what seems to be weeks below freezing, being at freezing seems like progress. But I know it won't last. We had a small dusting of snow this morning, it's supposed to snow more tonight, and unfortunately, the winds are still blowing stiff enough to make ya shiver. So today shall indeed be another day that nothing gets done. And things I want to get done are starting to pile up too... But it being warmer wouldn't necessarily mean they'd get done. Having the energy to do it is a whole different issue!
I've hit a couple lucky breaks on the TV this week. I discovered if I get home soon enough after work, I can catch a few Tom and Jerry cartoons on tv... A cartoon I grew up watching and loving, so it's both a great source of comic relief after work and a trip down memory lane (I know my feline friends, it's all backwards, but cmon, how many cats in reality are like Tom - none). And then last night, right when I needed to find something to watch badly as I felt so bored, I found Star Trek: The Next Generation on TV! I have terribly missed watching it on tv, especially the way it makes you think for a good period of time afterwards! And yes, Star Trek was where the twins got their names. I was a big "trekkie" back then... Now I've lost my enthusiasm for anything past TNG. But even more exciting for me, at least one of the episodes I got to watch was one I had never seen before! I was excited - and up way too late watching it. But what the heck, I haven't gotten a full night's sleep yet this week, what's one more partial night's sleep 'eh? I do think we're going to break that trend tonight... I've already dozed off once, and it's just after 5pm!
So anyways, those who have been reading my blog for a while may have noticed I've stayed away from politics lately. I did indeed quit keeping up, especially lately. I know I really shouldn't, but I've lost my interest. It's not that I was so naïve that I thought a change in party-in-charge or a history-making president was going to swoop in and change things, I've just not seen much of anything to get excited about or really angry about. Nothing seems to have changed at all.
So anyways, I am off to enjoy some one-on-one time with my Nimbus, as this is a rare thing to have him up here in bed without another cat getting up here and being an attention hog. I know why he is (he's waiting to be fed), but I'm gonna enjoy it anyway! Peace folks!

It's supposed to snow here in NC on Thursday night. We are dreading it and hoping it doesn't. Snow is no fun at all!
Stay warm, furiends!

Nimbus cuddles are the best. Everything else is designed to make you appreciate the cuddles more.

Tell Nimbus we said purr! My Dad said he remembers Tom & Jerry too but I've never met them!
