Alright folks, remember my post from yesterday? Please, PLEASE dig faster!!!!
I knew there were going to be storms today. The weather guys all called for it, and I seen them coming. We went to the next town over to get some "soul food" (Wendy's chicken sammich, cheap but yummy) after a long, hard day at work... I needed it. It was coming in when we got there, within 5 minutes it was rampaging. I don't just mean storming. I mean RAMPAGING. We're talking the heaviest driving rains I have ever seen (that says a lot right there) in this friggin' yankee state - much less in a very VERY long time. Branches all over the streets. Wind so strong it tried to blow the van off of the highway. Uhm, yeah, I was scared to say the least. Luckily, Mr. Cat was driving - and I feel completely safe with him, no matter what. If this was the late 90s and me driving, OMG I would've hunkered down shivering me timbers skeered! I was gripping onto the sides of the seat as it is scared of the storm and the winds. The moment I was home though, I was fine. It was just the vulnerability of being outside away from any safe zone that was so scary. I'm just glad I'm home. Whew. Now that that's over... We scaredycats/hoomins can crawl out of hiding.
It's funny. Jadzia kinda likes storms, she'll actually sit in an open window during a storm. Nimbus couldn't care any less. He actually fell asleep during the storm shortly after I got home MOL. Curzon, on the other hand, was under the bed... Poor guy, as scared of storms as I once was. Like I said, once I was home, I was fine. I did think about going out on the porch, but I was too hungry MOL. I just so needed to be at least within running sprint distance of my door.
Hey, mother nature, next time you're gonna pull some crap like that, at least give me a chance to get home! Meanie! MOL
So now I am off to enjoy a quiet evening and some more food. LOL I am sooo hungry.
