...Is always the roughest. Last night and today have been no different. I sit here still trying to hold back the tears, and the only thing keeping them from flowing is Curzon sitting on my lap as I type this. He knows... I think they both do. It is truly for the best, but the bedroom especially feels so empty. He's such a good little baby (albeit not really so little), and I can only hope that what we BELIEVE is the truth. There HAS to be something better on the other side... heck there HAS to BE another side! Otherwise, why are we here? There is a rhyme and reason for everything, even a life so short as Nimbus'. He taught me how to be a cat nurse, and he showed me just how good a patient a cat can be when he knows what's going on is making him feel better. I am so glad he doesn't have to have fingers and plastic tubes down his throat, but I miss the twice-daily ritual that was his poke and shot, not for the actual poke and shot, but for the attention he usually got afterward! I want to thank every last one of you for your comments, and your beautiful tributes for those of you who wrote about him on your blogs. Thank you so very much, as they've been a tremendous strength the last 20 hours since he left us. Love never dies, even when death takes one of us, and truly Nimbus will live on for forever, so long as my heart beats, so shall his memory live.

I don't know if there's really anything beyond this life. Each of us has our beliefs about that, and some of us insist that those beliefs are Actual Truth, when in fact we just don't know for a fact what exists, if anything. What I do believe is that if there is some form of existence beyond this realm for the energy that makes up we humans, there is the same for the energy that makes up non-humans, because I believe we all are One, and that All Beings are connected.
I know Nimbus will live with you forever, as will my Chumley and Annie, and Nicki and Derry in their turn.
Universal Blessings and Peace to you. Just let the tears fall as often as they need to, wherever you happen to be. There's no way past grief except through it.

Many, many, many hugs and purrs. Our hearts hold those memories so near and dear and you are absolutely correct, forever there he shall be. I just know Nimbus, Inigo and the others will be watching over us while we complete our journey.
We're so sorry about Nimbus. And of course our beloved fur babies wait for us. Although I know from experience, that we miss their scent, being able to hold them, the love they give us when they purrr...Time will heal all of you, but never erase the pain of having to say goodbye to Nimbus.
Sending you much love and purrrs,
Wendy, Miss Bella and Sele
I know how hard it is to be where you are and feel for you. we all share your sadness. There is another side and Nimbus is there waiting for you in full glory! Sending purrs of love.
We just learned of Nimbus passing and we are so very sorry. At the same time we are glad he is no longer sick and can enjoy playing and pouncing again.

What a wonderful tribute to your loved one. We didn't know Nimbus - we came over from Manx Mews - but we're so sorry to hear of your loss. - Leia, Toby & Cathy
Beautiful TSB. It will be rough for awhile. Little things that you miss. Thank God you have Curzon - while he'll never replace Nimbus, at least there is a kitty there to sympathize with you and purr for you. Nimbus will live on forever in all our hearts.
I remember all too well the emptiness of not having to test and shoot when my diabetic cat Em passed. Even after all these years her insulin is still in the fridge, as I couldn't bear to throw it away.
The pain will be less sharp with time. One thing I did recently for Ollie (who passed over a month ago) was create a photo book for him. It was painful to go through all the photos, but it was nice to have something solid to hold and share. I posted a link to share the photobook on my blog at http://www.kittyblog.net/2011/03/ollie-photo-book.html
I know so much how you feel.I know that the bridge is a beautiful place, filled with all the precious friends we've lost.
It is never easy to loose a loved one. I'm still dealing with Rusty's loss and it doesn't get easy. I want to believe in the Rainbow Bridge, that there IS something better after. Hugs to you.

We believe Nimbus is with all of his feline spirits at the Bridge and that he waiting for the day when suddenly his ear perk and his eye shift and he sees and hears your sweet voice calling his name and he comes running to your arms when you join him in happy unison to be together for infinity.
hugs and purrs

Purrs and prayers in your time of grief. So glad you said Nibus will live on in your heart because he will. Most of my life I have always had either a cat or a dog and there are quite a few of my furry friends living in my heart and they all have their special place, and I smile when I think of them. For me, I believe in the Bible and it explains our existence and why we are here and everlasting life if you believe. God Bless You.
I'm sure Nimbus is frolicking at Rainbow Bridge with the other kitties, doggies, and other creatures. I'm very sorry for your loss.

May the memories of love outweigh the grief of loss. I know that there is something beyond. I have 'felt' my furfriends once they've crossed the Rainbow Bridge and I've also had them 'come back' in new bodies. It may sound weird, but I firmly believe it.

I just heard of your loss, I am so sorry. So many people were praying for Nimbus but it was his time to go to the bridge. I have been reading books about near death experiences..my belief is Yes, there is a Rainbow Bridge and Nimbus is healthy, with no pain, and frolicking with his friends.
I'm so sorry for your loss & my heart aches for your pain. But the loving memories do stay in your heart forever - and you will hear him from time to time as a spirit passing thru to remind you of the love he had for you too. My prayers & thoughts are with you. Nimbus is in a beautiful place, healthy & patiently waiting for you all to be reunited again {{{hugs}}}
Love you,
Terri, Duchess, Sammy & Bailey
