The saddest thing is, this is my absolute favorite beef stew! :( We're talking Botchullism (I know I didn't spell it right, but you know what I'm talking about), which is a lot meaner to the body than normal food poisoning. There's a family of 4 in the hospital right now because of this. Where'd the contamination come from this time? I think we pretty much shut the door on China, so who did it this time?

That is not good! And they warn about the dangers of home canning. I've been canning for years and no botulism toxoid yet.
